One night, in the month of June,
I stand beneath the mystic moon,
All alone I was on the beach,
watching those shiny and fiery stars,
I look at the dark mass of clouds ,
which have engraved the sky;
I hear only the sound of waves ,
as the night is plunged in darkness.
It is so quiet,so calm,so austere here,
that innumerable thoughts configurate my Heart.
but I don't know what I should be thinking about?
I ponder of life,destiny and fate,
even of God,love and hate.
So many thoughts, have adulated me,
So many thoughts ,have captured me,
I feel loneliness engulfing me,
and darkness envisaging my life.
Iam so depressed and devastated,
that for me, life is only sadness,
At last too tired,I glimpse the vast sea,
and realise the multitudes of life.
Joys and sorrows are a part of life,
and I decide not to drool upon them,
I imagine the goodness of my life,
and think to make this life more meaningful.
With this thought,I slowly depart the beach
leaving my footprints on the sands of time.
that feeling of sadness has vanished
and those adominable thoughts,I try to banish.
This world, I feel, is filled with pain
and I will think of it someday again,
'Coz now Iam rushing all the way home;
as the Dark Mass of Clouds have broken into a BIG RAIN!!!

Always be positive...
If you have ever read Norman Vincent Peale’s ‘The power of positive thinking’ you will come across different situations in the author’s life where he has illustrated the need of being positive. The question here is: how to stay positive in any situation? Human beings have this inborn quality of changing disposition according to the condition.
Well, the main challenge is not to get thwarted in any circumstance happening in your life. Whenever you feel that things are not happening the way you wanted to, then stay cool and be positive. Every situation has a power to change. So your predicament might be a temporary phenomenon. Hence don’t be disappointed due to any turn of events.
Accept things as they occur as no force can change what’s intended to happen. During that period you must try to be neutral about the events happening and stay on the positive side. This will truly produce startling results. You should be consistent and be unperturbed in any situation.

Firstly your positive thinking should be based on profound positive belief system. How exactly you should see the world? Do you love yourself? Are you in love with your life? Do you really have a strong faith in good fortune and opportunities coming your way? These thoughts can actually judge your personality and help you understand how positive you think.
The art of staying positive can be reinforced with the help of positive actions. If you have a solid foundation that you always believe in the best and not in the worst, then it is for sure that you will remain positive all the time. It’s a common propensity to dream about achieving your goals. But it’s necessary that you stay focused on your goal come what may. This kind of an attitude can work wonders.
To be positive you must require diligence and flexibility. Sometimes you will be tempted to turn negative and think all intrusive thoughts. But the simple mantra is to control your mind when you feel negative thoughts capture you.
Try not to feed yourself with lot of off-putting impressions. This can hurt your self-esteem. Also, be among the people who stay positive all the time. Avoid the circle of people who have this constant habit of fretting about everything in life. Most of all be happy with whatever you have in life. This can really have a magical impact on your attitude.

Divinity on a rise...
Have you heard the song Mahaganapathim Manasasmarami? This beautiful Carnatic song has been sung by artist: Sriram Gangadharan and others. This is a very famous devotional song a vandana for Lord Ganesh - the favorite deity of Hindus. In fact this song was also sung in the movie Morning Raga featuring Shabana Azmi. The ragam is Natai and Thalam is Chathursa Ekam. Truly one should listen to this song. I was simply mesmerized and lost in a different world. In fact I kept hearing this song again and again...The lyrics of the song says:
mahaa gaNapatim manasaa smaraami
mahaa gaNapatim vasishTa vaama dEvAdi vandita
mahaa dEva sutam guruguha nutam
maara kOTi prakaasham shaantam
mahaa kaavya naaTakaadi priyam mooshika vaahanaa mOdhaka priyam
It means:
I meditate on the supreme Ganapati who is worshipped by sages like Vasishtha, Vaamadeva and others. He, the son of Lord Mahaadeva, is adored by Guruguha and shines with the brilliance of crores of Cupids. He is the tranquil one and exults in the literary pieces like poems and dramas. He is fond of Modaka, a variety of sweet, and has a mouse for a mount.

Should Euthanasia (mercy killing) be legalized in India?

EUTHANASIA- is basically a question of life and death. The issue came into light in India, when former chess champion, K. Venkatesh was terminally ill and died on December 17; 2004 after a futile wait for the court to accept his plea for Euthanasia, so that he could donate his organs after his death. But, Indian Law allows organ donation only if a person is declared Brain dead. It was his mother who decided to move to the Supreme Court to amend the Human Organ Transplant Act and legalize mercy killing in India.
Euthanasia is a process of painlessly helping a terminally ill person to die. Generally it is performed by using Lethal Injection using same drugs as those on death row are executed. Euthanasia is accomplished by a method that produces rapid unconsciousness and subsequent death without pain or distress.
Human Rights Activists are totally against this mercy killing. According to them, people who insist for Euthanasia are under lot of stress. They feel that if a person is leading a life of utmost misery and has no hopes for recovery then they could persist for mercy killing. Section 309 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) says that attempted suicide is a criminal offence but it keeps mum on the subject of euthanasia.
Netherlands and Belgium are the only two countries which have attempted to make mercy killing legal. USA, Australia and other countries including India have shunned away from the mere idea of legalizing euthanasia. It is the fear of misusing the Law which is holding back many experts from legalizing it in India.
It is basically a conflict between - Ethical and Legal. Also, the Hippocratic Oath in the medical profession seems another hold back. Hippocrates, the Father of Modern Medicine stated in 400 B.C, “I will give no deadly medicine to anyone if asked nor suggest any such counsel”. Today, doctors are still bound by this oath and feel that till the end patients should be treated and people should not resort to mercy killing.
If it is legalized all innocent people will be pushed into the gallows of death. Confusion may arise from the fact that attempting suicide is not a Criminal Act. If it is legalized it would concentrate on a particular sect of vulnerable individuals and this could be discriminatory.
Therefore no law has been made in India to legalize mercy killing as it would reflect a major part of our society. What is needed is more care for all so that no one feels the need to be killed. It is outrageous to propose this. It is necessary to demean the idea of legalizing mercy killing in INDIA…..

MEMORIES......

Sitting beside the seashore,
I saw a little boy flying colourful balloons,
The moment I glanced his innocent face,
thoughts of your childhood engulfed me,
I continuously admire those gushing waves,
moving heftily up and down,
and fathomly recollect those times we spent here;
I vividly remember the days,
when we made huge sandcastles;
and those marvelous times,
when the sunset, we watched together.
With the rush of time seasons change,
the changing seasons, have carried your childhood,
I reminiscence the joyous days, I spent with you,
of course, the lullabies I sang for you,
Your chirpy little voice still rings in my heart,
I feel those eternal days, are something to think about,
Twenty-four today, my son you are,
hard to believe you have grown up so fast.
But I always will treasure those wonderful memories,
as they are the best part of my life !
I giggle with myself and come back to the present,
the little boy I saw has vanished from my sight,
and those balloons are flying up in the air,
a sudden satisfaction prevails deep in my heart;
as I have decided what I intend to do about;
the next time I sit beside this Seashore,
surely will I, bring you along with me,
because I long to sit with you, my Son;
with you, to share ,

Secrets to build confidence...
‘Confidence comes not from always being right but from not fearing to be wrong.’
Perfectly true! Confidence is a key to success. If you have oodles of self-confidence you can face any situation in life. Many people lack good confidence skills. As a result it portrays a negative impact in all their activities. So how do you actually build your confidence? Firstly feel good about yourself all the time. Have an optimistic attitude. You have to boost your morale by different means. These boosters should be something that you feel good about in your life. It can be memories of the past or your present growth in career. Reality shows and their effects...
Have you noticed the current increase of reality shows on Indian television? Every channel is trying to prove its best in the rat race. Star, Zee, Sony, NDTV, and more are trying to increase their TRPs with the help of reality shows. With Indian television losing its creativity they are borrowing ideas from international channels.
The latest reality show to join the bandwagon is Sach ka Saamna (Moment of Truth original show) which is being aired on Star Plus. Yes, I do watch the show and in fact I am glued to the TV set during the telecast of the show. What attracts me and maybe most other audience would be the intimate questions asked about the contestants personal life. Some celebrities were also called on the show and they had to go through the same set of personal questions. What I keep thinking about is the impact that can happen on the contestant's family.

The other reality show Rakhi ka Swayamvar on NDTV Imagine is utter rubbish. Firstly, I have a terrible dislike for Madam Rakhi...The show is a complete stupidity. I feel she is not serious about her so-called wedding and doing all this for cheap publicity gimmick.. What surprises me is the fact that all the prospective grooms in the show (they all look stupid)...hail from decent families and just for a 10-minute fame have decided to tie the knot with Rakhi...
We as audience are wasting our time and effort watching these reality shows. Moreover with the voting system TV channels are raking in the moolah... Just for the sake of increasing TRPs new dramatised scripts are included to add that extra spice in the show... I feel nothing is real in these shows and everything is conceptualised before.
It's better if we stop watching these meaningless shows and rather put that energy in doing something worthwhile...The bottomline is maybe this minute TV channels must be busy thinking about introducing another reality show in some channel while here I am writing this blog and trying to put some sense in my beloved readers!!!!!!!!!!!!
